RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Dollaway's neck injury is improving, but he is still awaiting further information regarding a back injury suffered prior to UFC 203, ESPN's Brett Okamoto reports.

Dollaway suffered a potential disc injury prior to UFC 203 in Cleveland in one of the most bizarre fighter injury situations in recent memory. He, along with several other fighters, was trapped in a malfunctioning elevator that ultimately dropped an unspecified distance. Dollaway is the only fighter that emerged with a serious injury, and once he knows the extent of the damage, there's a good chance he pursues legal action against the elevator manufacturer or the hotel (or both). All of these complications leave the middleweight without any type of firm timetable for a return to the Octagon.

Dollaway's initial x-rays showed a possible disc injury, which was enough to cancel his fight in UFC 203, Brett Okamoto of ESPN reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Dollaway will have an MRI on Monday to see the extent of the injury, if all goes as planned traveling. The MRI will provide a better estimate of how long he could be out. Dollaway is looking to make a strong return in the middleweight division in which he has not seen recent success.
Dollaway's bout versus Francimar Barroso has been removed from the UFC 203 card for an undisclosed reason.

Fantasy Analysis

Dollaway has been struggling in the middleweight division. It is unclear at this time what type of injury he is dealing with, but it was obviously serious enough to get this match cancelled. UFC 203 will now go on with 10 scheduled bouts.
Dollaway lost to Nate Marquardt via KO (punch) at 0:28 of Round 2 at UFC on FOX 17 on Saturday in Orlando.

Fantasy Analysis

Remember that great three-fight run that Dollaway went on in the middle of 2014? Yeah, that's long over. A loser of three in a row, Dollaway moved forward like a complete fool on Saturday and left his head wide open and he paid for it in the form of a brutal loss to a guy who is just about finished. Dollaway isn't going to get cut, but he's far from a threat in the middleweight division.
Dollaway will face Nate Marquardt at UFC on FOX 17 on December 19 in Orlando, MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Dollaway is coming off back-to-back losses to Michael Bisping and Lyoto Machida. Marquardt should prove to be an easier mark, but Dollaway hasn't exactly looked impressive of late. It is hard to believe that the UFC would cut him if he falls to Marquardt, but three-fight losing streaks are a quick way to find yourself on the unemployment line.
Dollaway fell to Michael Bisping via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC 186 on Saturday night in Montreal.

Fantasy Analysis

Dollaway looked pretty impressive in round one, even threatening to end the fight after a late left hook, but Bisping rebounded to clearly take the final two rounds and earn the unanimous decision. Dollaway really has no one to blame but himself. He threw only 134 total strikes compared to Bisping's 207 and he was out landed by a total of 80-49. Dollaway has now dropped two in a row (he lost to Lyoto Machida in December) and it's a near certainty that his next bout will come against a fighter with far less name recognition than his previous two.
