RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

DocPwn put together an impressive performance as he ultimately fell to Fr0zen in the semifinals of the Hearthstone Winter Championship. DocPwn also clinched himself a spot at the World Championship next January.

Coming in as the oldest in the field at 32, nobody really saw DocPwn as being on the level of the rest of the competition. Not only did he prove himself by eliminating the defending world champion Pavel, he ended up clinching himself a spot at the World Championships with a semifinal finish. DocPwn was swept quickly by Fr0zen in the semifinals, but DocPwn still should see his performance as a huge success. He represented the Americas region very well.

DocPwn dominated throughout the tournament but lost to DrJikininki 3-0 in the Americas Winter Championship to finish as runner-up. DocPwn clinched his spot as one of four North American representatives to play in the HCT Winter Championship.

The unknown DocPwn was the most dominant player in the field as he held a miraculous 9-0 record into the championship series. He defeated professional players like TerranceM, Nostam and Silentstorm to get there, rightfully earning his spot. In the championship series, DocPwn continually was a victim of his poor draws on his Pirate Warrior deck as he dropped three straight games. Although he would have loved to leave as champion, DocPwn accomplished his ultimate goal of qualifying to play in the HCT Winter Championship in the Bahamas.
